As I could see in your website, all your rooms are non-smoking? I´m a smoker and depend on this information to make my reservation. Merci beaucoup. I had very good informations about you by a friend.
Dear Hotel Britannique: I just ended a lovely stay yesterday at your terrific hotel. Sadly, I was sick & nauseous while there this past weekend and confined to Room 17. Your clothes dryers (or someone else’s) must vent into that small courtyard our room faced, I learned, when I opened the window for some much-needed fresh air. You must use scented detergent and perhaps those heavily scented dryer sheets. Instead of cool Parisian air, all I could smell was that horrible scent of laundry cleaning products, which made me more nauseous. I could detect the smell in the sheets, towels, and robes, which led to headaches. PLEASE find a detergent that is sans parfum! they do exist in the market! It will make your hotel so much better smelling (and it would have made my illness more comfortable). Many people are allergic to the perfumes in detergents and dryer sheets (they can cause allergies) — or simply do not like the scent. A lovely hotel like Britannique should be able to solve this small problem.
With thanks,
The woman in room 17
